Manager of Curriculum and Teacher Programs
The Museum of Jewish Heritage- A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is seeking a Manager of Curriculum and Teacher Programs. Under supervision of Director of Education, this position is responsible for:

Writing curriculum for special exhibitions, including tours, worksheets, teachers’ guides.

Writing and editing final reports on programs and department website content.

Planning and implementing professional development for teachers (not including Jewish schools), including budget proposal and oversight, evaluation and reporting, and writing applications for NYC DOE P-credit when appropriate.

Leading sessions in trainings of Gallery Educators and interns.

Drafting financial and narrative reports to funders.

Administrative tasks include writing and editing Board notes and Ed Committee minutes, mail, curriculum boxing and shipping, financial support, event registration, reviewing and entering information from Museum group tour evaluations, updating outreach databases, registering new teachers for Coming of Age website.

Other responsibilities include leading tours as needed, assisting with tour group entry, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Strong knowledge of Jewish history and practice; MA or MS in Education, History, Holocaust Studies, Museum Education, or other related field; 2+ years as a full-time NYC DOE classroom teacher in recent years; excellent writing skills, teaching, organizational, budget, and interpersonal skills; as well as computer proficiency.
Public Programs Coordinator
The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is seeking a Public Programs Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for helping to develop program ideas, coordinating logistical preparations for programs, performing outreach and maintaining a high level of interaction with talent, acting as stage manager and talent wrangler for evening and weekend programs, coordinating marketing with the Museum’s Communications Department for programs, and maintaining the departmental budget.
Candidates must have: BA; 2-3 years experience in theater/performance production; in depth knowledge and understanding of Jewish culture (knowledge of current trends in Jewish performing arts and cultural life and Jewish film preferred); computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows and database management); social networking skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; and commitment to the Museum. Must be willing to work occasional night and weekends.

Manager of Major Gifts
The Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to manage and cultivate relationships, solicit gifts and provide stewardship for ongoing support. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Manager of Major Gifts will develop effective strategies for working with leadership and staff to identify prospects and customize cultivation and solicitation activities for annual campaign, exhibition support, endowment and planned giving.
Candidates must have: BA/BS in related field; at least 5 years of non-profit fundraising and program development experience that includes successful direct solicitation of individuals; good computer skills (knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred); knowledge of Jewish philanthropic community; superior communication and organization skills; strong ability to cultivate relationships with colleagues and donors; a calm and friendly demeanor; ability to multitask; and commitment to the Museum.
