A Romeo and Juliet story set in South Wales in the early 20th century, this period drama depicts the ill-fated romance between a young Jewish peddler (Ioann Gruffudd) and a Welsh miner's daughter.

Delage offers a cinematic introduction to Filming the Camps’ three directors—John Ford, George Stevens, and Samuel Fuller. This program features a documentary about Fuller’s life as a journalist and soldier; a short 1945 documentary reporting on the pending Nuremberg trials; and footage of the first Jewish service at Dachau

From East and West: Dueling Perspectives on Filming the Camps
Curator Christian Delage, Université Paris 8, and Prof. Stuart Liebman, CUNY Graduate Center
U.S., British, Polish, and Soviet teams filmed the liberation of camps in 1944 and 1945. Using clips from rare films, Delage and Liebman will compare the ways in which the Eastern and Western Allies documented images of death and concentration camps.
