A wide range of exhibitions exploring modern Jewish history, life, and culture is now on view. Visit our galleries and website often to see what's new.

Special Exhibitions
Temporary exhibitions on special topics complement themes expressed in the Core Exhibition in greater detail and extend the Museum's explorations of Jewish life in multiple directions. Current exhibitions include:

On Permanent View
The Core Exhibition
The Core Exhibition tells the story of modern Jewish life from the perspective of those who lived it. It is organized in three chronological sections: Jewish Life A Century Ago; The War Against the Jews; and Jewish Renewal. It places the Holocaust in larger context— telling stories of Holocaust survivors through photographs, artifacts, and video.

Keeping History Center
In a gallery with panoramic views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty, the Keeping History Center presents the Museum's ideas and collections in an award-winning, interactive, digital experience that links the past to the present.

Garden of Stones
Andy Goldsworthy's Garden of Stones is dedicated to the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust and honors those who survived. His only permanent installation in New York City, the Garden is a natural metaphor for the tenacity and fragility of life.

Reflection Passage
James Carpenter's Reflection Passage captures images of light, sky, and water from the New York Harbor, and re-presents them in a site-specific installation.
